To those who didn't believe in me

I've just been accepted to the number one BSW (Bachelor's of Social Work) program in the country. That's right I was accepted. The one who didn't know math that well, the one who failed almost all her classes in seventh grade. The one you thought couldn't go very far with lack of math skills and bad grades.

I now have a 3.57 G.P.A at a very good University and of course the acceptance thing. I did it!

The Perfect Quote for me

Fiancee is watching Veronica Mars and one of the characters said to another "your lack of opinion scares me." Hehe I have many opinions about many things and sometimes I think it drives my fiancee crazy.

It's gonna be one hell of a semester...

Okay I'm a tad bit scared...

I think there is going to be a lot of work involved, a lot more work then I'm used to. But that's okay I just have to mentally prepare myself ya know.

The biggest thing is math. It's a 3 credit hour course I probably will spend and have spent about 10 hours a week just for that class.

This could be bad...

Seen on a message board

What things went well in 2006?

Getting engaged to Scott, school, becoming manager at work.

What things didn't go well in 2006?

My family finding out about Scott, some stress at work, the scary surgery my Grandpa went through

What will you do differently in 2007?

I would like to try and be less judgemental

1) two places you'd like to travel

This won't happen at least anytime soon but Paris, and New York

2) two people with whom you'd like to meet and have lunch

Patrick Dempsey, Rachel Mcadams

3) two experiences you'd like to share with a family member

Taking my mom on a vacation, and bringing Scott to my families house and having them accept him

4) two experiences you'd like to share with a friend

A vacation :-) Maybe 2o of us will go! And hmmmm seeing my friend Christine whom I haven't seen in awhile. Just seeing each other would be cool

5) two things you'd like to learn, study or master

Beginning Algebra which I will be taking this semester, and I'd like to do well in English I suppose

6) two economic goals for this year

It would be nice to save money for the wedding, and to go back to work and not live month by month

7) two changes you'd like to see in the world in your lifetime

For the US to get out of Iraq. Less violence

9) FIVE character qualities/traits for which you'd like to be known

Good personality
Good listener
Sensitivity
Happiness
Sweetness

10) Two "just-for-fun" goals

Doing more reading
Finishing my hook latch kit

Great night... too bad I fell!

So last night we went to Holiday Nights at Green Field village. I enjoy going to GFV because it is like a very old town with old houses etc. Lotsa stuff to see, they had carolers, bands, carrige rides, carousel rides, and model t rides. We got to do all of that. Would have been an even better night if it wasn't raining and I hadn't fell. Even worse I fell after going through the first house. I stepped on uneven ground and my ankle bent. Luckily it isn't broken, probably sprained and a little swollen. My hand got scraped up as well.

Ah well still a fun night

5 Freaking Hours

In a mini van! Why did I spend 5 hours in a mini van you ask? To go see the story of Jesus at a local christian church. This story telling was special because they had live animals such as camels and llama's, as well as live action sees throughout the huge parking lot.

Now yes the idea is cool. And really it was neat to see, the driver of the van got to pet a llama, and we got free hot chocolate and homemade cookies. But dear God 5 HOURS!!! And most of that time was sadly spent in traffic first getting into the church's parking lot, and then getting to the first scene. Once we actually got to the scene's it took maybe 25 minutes.

I'm soooo getting a t-shirt that says I survived the Jesus story at _________ Church.

Breathing a sigh of relief

Okay so I finally had the meeting with the counselor at the school of social work. I was apprehensive about some of the application process and the last few pre requisite classes left to take. But it all get worked out better than expected. YAY! So now if anyone is reading this keep your fingers crossed for me, finishing up the final details over Christmas break on the app and turning it in when school starts!

Hope for acceptance!
