Frankenmuth fun!

I had a wonderful weekend!

We (me and Scott) went to frankenmuth to celebrate our one year anniversary. Although it was a little cold we had lots of fun. We got to town about 8 and checked in at the hotel. It was one of the cheaper hotels in that area and I was apprehensive about going there but it was fantastic. Comfy bed, clean, just nice overall.

Then we went into town and took a carriage ride. We went through the neighborhoods and then the main street of Frankenmuth. Very romantic. After that it was time to see the laser show they have every weekend night. That was neat in itself, but what made it cute was the group of 5 year olds were there. Nothing beats watching 20, 5 year olds dancing to 50 and 60's music.

We went back to the hotel after that, and slept. Got up about 8 the next morning and went for breakfast. Man that was such a good breakfast! Then we went into town.

His parents and grandma were coming up for lunch about 2 and half hours later so we walked the town. Went into a whole bunch of different shops, and the local museum. Well worth the one dollar we paid to get into the museum, there was so much to see. After that we wanted to go check out the personalized ornaments you could get at the Bavarian Inn. There was some drama there with crappy workers and we added up not getting the ornament which I was very disappointed about.

Then it was time for lunch and we ate at Zhender's, yummy chicken. After that we went to Bronner's and got to hear the story of how St. Nickalaus became Santa Clause. We walked around the store after that and found an area where Bronner's was personalizing ornaments. We found an ornament that said "love is patient, love is kind, love never ends." On the back it says Amy and Scott 11/12/06. Very nice memento of our one year anniversary.

And that was our trip in a nutshell.
